Keurig Dr. Pepper-backed beverage technology firm LifeFuels has launched what it claims is the ‘world’s first’ smart nutrition bottle, which combines with an app to track both hydration and nutrition goals.
The bottle uses naturally-flavoured FuelPods, which are mixed with water to provide beverages in various flavours which also contain a variety of functional ingredients such as electrolytes and antioxidants.
The 500 ml bottle features a seven-day battery life, and can hold up to three FuelPods, which can craft up to 90 customised beverages.
The LifeFuels app allows consumers to customise the flavour of their beverage and track their hydration levels
Consumers can use the app to dispense and adjust the flavour and strength of each beverage, while the app also allows consumers to set and track hydration goals and see the levels remaining in each FuelPod.
Each FuelPod dispenses up to 30 beverages, and LifeFuels claims that this will reduce the need for disposable single-use plastic bottles.
Jonathon Perrelli, LifeFuels CEO and founder said: “Our mission is to help people feel their best from the inside out.
“Whether you’re an athlete, a health and tech enthusiast, or a busy parent, our innovative hydration system can help you reach your wellness goals on-the-go.”
Rob Lawson-Shanks, chief technology officer and founder said: “From morning to night, our patented dispensing system delivers the nutrients you need when you need them.
“The Bottle’s state-of-the-art water tracking technology helps you remember to drink more water throughout the day and allows you to track your nutrition intake sip by sip.”
