Healthy beverage brand Lifetonics has announced that it has secured a new listing in 180 Waitrose stores across the UK for its range of three revitalising drinks.
The range will roll out in stores from the start of August, followed by the addition of 250 TK Maxx stores nationwide from the middle of the month. The nutrient-enhanced drinks are available in coconut and mint, Dalandan orange, and elderberry and juniper varieties. They have been specifically formulated with naturally derived sweeteners, and contain neither refined sugar nor artificial sweeteners.
Containing coconut water for a source of nuatrual electrolytes, the three distinctive flavours will “satisfy the ever growing consumer demand for convenient and refreshing hydration products with natural goodness built in,” Lifetonics said.
A fresh and contemporary packaging design will create on-shelf standout, supported by “significant marketing investment” across PR, sampling and digital activity, across the brand’s 500ml bottles with a recommended retail price of £1.45.
Neil Taylor, who helped to develop Lifetonics’ brand design, said: “Our aim was to develop a balanced soft drink that would appeal to a broad spectrum of consumers as a daily healthy hydration choice but with the emphasis always on great taste. Market research shows that consumers rate taste highly when considering repeat purchases and that has been a vital element in the development of the range.
“Equally important is the fact that most consumers are also wary of hidden high sugar content, caffeine and artificial flavourings and instead are looking for more sustainable and enjoyable hydration alternatives. Lifetonics is essentially creating its very own category – a convenient soft drink that tastes great, hydrates and doesn’t rely on high sugar or caffeine levels to deliver health and wellbeing functionality.”
