Lithuanian food producer Viciunai Group has developed a range of surimi sticks and fish salads, packaged in a handy snack pack from RPC Superfos.
The new Vici salads range includes surimi sticks with shrimps in white sauce, Atlantic herring fillets in a mushroom sauce, and ten other varieties of surimi and herring. Aimed at the on-the-go snacking market and designed as an accompaniment to picnics, road trips or daily lunches, the pots are sold complete with a special spoon in the lid for added convenience to the consumer.
RPC Superfos’ EasySnacking pack has previously been used by Luxembourg dairy Luxlait for a range of frozen yogurts.
Like the pot, the spoon is injection moulded. As well as its convenience and functionality, the EasySnacking pot is also reclosable, stable, and optimised for stacking – whether filled or empty.
The Vici salad range is available in supermarkets, petrol stations and convenience stores in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and the Czech Republic. Viciunai will expand availability of the fish-based range to Bulgaria in the near future and will launch a larger size, giving consumers the chance to choose between 150g and 250g packs.
Viciunai Group packaging category purchasing manager Erda Jurgaityte said: “We wanted a new type of pack for our new range of salads, and the 210ml EasySnacking appealed to us. The solution is completely new on our market and one of the biggest advantages of the package is the integral spoon, which is smooth and pleasant to touch.”
