Lord Bilimoria talks about weathering the financial crisis, and partnering with Molson Coors in 2009.
“When we formed the joint venture,” he says, “we had just restructured the business in a very painful way. The integrity of both parties – staying the course when not necessarily everyone else was – enabled us to rescue the business, to form the joint venture, and now to build a very solid business, which has been growing even in recessionary times, and work well as a true joint venture.”
He also talks about the importance of innovation in being (and maintaining) an award-winning beer producer, and how being ‘restless’ as an innovator has led to Belu Cobra Foundation glass water bottles.
