British chocolate brand Love Cocoa claims to have introduced Europe’s ‘first ever’ avocado chocolate bar.
The avocado ingredient used in the bar is 100% natural freeze dried avocado pulp powder, which the brand says contains the same taste, texture and nutrients of the green fruit.
Love Cocoa aims to tap into the popularity of avocados with the new bar, which is vegan and contains 70% organic dark chocolate.
James Cadbury, the great-great-great grandson of Cadbury’s founder John Cadbury, created the brand as he aims to respond to consumer demand for premium chocolate with quality ingredients.
“Growing up a Cadbury, I’ve always loved chocolate and experimenting in the kitchen,” he said.
“And like the millions on Instagram, I’m also an avocado fan, so I thought why not mix two of the most loved flavours and foods together – and that’s how the avocado chocolate bar was born.”
Love Cocoa reinvents British favourites with contemporary twists to produce its handmade chocolates. Other flavours created include earl grey tea, gin and tonic, and Maldon sea salt.
Love Cocoa’s avocado dark chocolate bar is now available in the UK, priced at £4.25.
