British chocolate brand Love Cocoa has unveiled two ‘luxury’ eggs including a vegan option, marking the brand’s first move into the grocery sector.
The Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Luxury Egg is suitable for vegans and reportedly features organic, fair-trade 70% cacao dark chocolate with Maldon sea salt.
The Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate Luxury Egg, meanwhile, features organic 41% milk chocolate partnered with caramel and Maldon sea salt.
Love Cocoa claims that both eggs are palm oil free with 100% recyclable and plastic-free packaging and are available on Ocado from this month.
The company has pledged to plant a tree for every product sold as part of the brand’s wider ‘One Bar, One Tree’ campaign in partnership with charity Trees for the Future.
“This launch represents exciting times for the Love Cocoa brand, bringing our award-winning flavours and unique designs to the masses via Ocado,” said James Cadbury, Love Cocoa’s founder and descendent of chocolatier John Cadbury.
“We are also proud to be partnering with Trees for the Future and are committed to planting 500,000 trees in 2020, helping local communities in West Africa badly affected by deforestation.”
The range is available for an RRP of £10.95 per 150g product from authorised distributors including Ocado, Fenwick, Liberty and Love Cocoa.
