Premium tortilla chip brand Manomasa is expanding its range with the release of the UK’s first packaged cantina chips.
Named after the traditional rustic bars of Mexico where they are given free with drinks, cantina chips are now commonly served in Mexican restaurants. Manomasa’s are made from traditional pressed corn tortilla wraps and hand-cut into quarters.
With this latest launch the company aims to expand its market share in the burgeoning crisps, nuts and snacks category, which has grown 2.1% to £2.3 billion, in the past year, particularly in the premium market..
Manomasa’s cantina chips will launch in Whole Foods stores available in 200g packs at a recommended retail price of £2.49.
