Meat snack brand Peperami has launched an on-pack promotion to coincide with the kick-off of the European Championship, which gets under way today.
The Jack Link’s brand will offer consumers in the UK the chance to win one of ten prizes of €2,016 each, as well as almost 3,000 collectible Peperami Fanimal toys in the guise of the brand’s returning mascot, Fanimal.
The competition will run until the end of August. It will be supported by a dedicated microsite and social media campaign, in partnership with TheSportBible, one of the largest communities for sports fans around the world, which will showcase the stories of individual “superfans” and how they are preparing for the Euros in France.
Pavan Chandra, marketing manager for Peperami, said: “The Euros is one of the world’s most watched sporting events and appeals to a very broad audience, but has particular resonance across our target market. The Fanimal promotion is always hugely popular – we previously ran it in 2006, 2010 and 2014 – and Peperami is the perfect snack to enjoy when watching the game.”
A number of agencies have been involved in the promotion, with Toucan creating the concept for the campaign and the on-pack designs, Havas Helia promoting content through Peperami’s online channels and The Story Lab managing the partnership with TheSportBible.
