The iON machine features InstaChill technology, which instantly chills water without air contacting the water supply, and a RapidHot system that has the capacity to produce up to two gallons of piping hot water per hour.
This product also offers a sparkling water option, as well as an energy saving ‘sleep mode’, and its CarbonPlus Filter can be removed by hand without turning off the water supply.
To finish off my first day at the event, I headed over to IntuiSense Technologies’ Interactive Vending Machine (IVM) and found out a little bit more about the French organisation’s innovative and eye-catching new design. The company’s international sales and marketing director Catherine Yzer explained that the system uses gesture recognition technology instead of traditional touchscreen equipment, which allows for a secure surface capable of withstanding the force of a baseball bat! The IVM is also completely customisable and supports a variety of payment options such as cash-less, closed loop and classic coin systems.
I opened my second day at the Vending Paris exhibition at Mistral’s stand for a closer look at the company’s new ToBeSure Microbiological Purification Line, which comprises the Evopure and the Refroidisseur machines. Designed for corporations requiring high standards of bacterial control in drinking water solutions, both systems contain a low energy consumption UV steriliser device and a direct chill ice bank. The refrigeration circuit and water circuits of each system are separated in order to guarantee full protection against any risk of leakage that could contaminate the water.
Following a quick walk around the exhibition hall, I came across the new Easymeal vending machine: a vending system designed specifically for ready meals that includes three of its very own microwaves. This vending machine holds 12 different meals, all of which contain cutlery and take two minutes to cook for the price of €4.
Easymeal co-founder and CEO George Badra told me the company doesn’t charge for the installation of its new vending machine, and stated that this product was built in order to ‘bring convenience to the lives of public consumers’.
H2O Direct’s managing director Jim Redford was kind enough to agree to an interview about the brand’s latest SP-520 and SP-510 coffee vending filters, which feature a 25,000-litre capacity and prevent hard scale, and Philips’ Saeco brand was exhibiting its new Atlante 700 Espresso Beverage Dispenser, capable of holding up to 700 cups, offering as many as 60 different products with 20 different selection choices. Saeco’s latest product also includes a rotating plate system and features pre-heating Power Boost technology.
Other key aspects of my second day at Vending Paris 2014 so far have included an incredibly pleasant beverage tasting session with the Italy-based Ingegni team, an extreme demonstration of Hungary-based H-Vend’s vandal-proof vending panel and a visit to the adjoining Sandwich & Snack Show, which is bursting with great-tasting freebies!
