Prominently placed close to the entrance, the innovative Arla Foods Ingredients stand, with its large LCD screens, was the first to catch the eye of the several thousand visitors – including infant nutrition manufacturers, paediatricians and scientists from around the world.
Many took the opportunity to stop and talk to the paediatrics team about Arla Foods Ingredients’ full range of milk-based ingredients for infant nutrition. “All our infant nutrition customers from Europe were there, along with many from Asia and the US. We also met many paediatricians who did not know about Arla as a supplier of ingredients for infant nutrition,” said the company’s infant nutrition business development manager Marcus Gliwitzki.
”So it was a good relationship and awareness-building exercise. And the scientific lectures provided good insight into what is happening in the scientific world.”
Low-protein solutions remain a hot topic within the paediatric nutrition sector and were among the subjects discussed during the three days of scientific sessions. In this area, Arla Foods Ingredients’ specialised proteins have much to offer. The range also includes solutions of benefit to gastrointestinal health, allergy treatment and prevention, cognitive performance and immunity.
