First place prizes went to two farmers from Devon: Mr Hurford from Colyton in the ‘producing more than 500,000 litres per year’ category, and Mr Dennis from Holsworthy, winner for the second year running, in the ‘producing less than 500,000 litres per year’ category.
Both winners achieved outstanding results. Hurford achieved an exceptional bactoscan result of 7.58 and a cell count of 68.83, while Dennis achieved a bactoscan result of 7.41 and a very low cell count result of 34.91.
Second place was awarded to the Morrow family from Truro, Cornwall (more than 500,000 litres per year) and Symes Partners from Crewkerne, Somerset (less than 500,000 litres per year).
Third place was awarded to the Cockburn family from Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria (more than 500,000 litres per year) and the Burden family from Launceston, Cornwall (less than 500,000 litres per year).
