World-inspired children’s food brand Mini Nom Nom’s has partnered with Magic Light Pictures and licensing company TLC to introduce a new British Gruffalo roast chicken dinner meal.
Featuring free range roast chicken, Yorkshire pudding, broccoli florets, sweet potato wedges and gravy, the new addition joins the brand’s existing line of meals for children inspired by cuisines from around the world – including Malaysian laksa, Moroccan tagine and Indian thali. The product development also features a chocolate pudding dessert with chocolate sauce for children to enjoy afterwards.
The move marks an extension to Magic Light Pictures’ strategy of capitalising on the Gruffalo brand within the food and beverage space, following such innovations as the Gruffalo party cake and fruit drinks range in recent weeks.
The Gruffalo Mini Nom Nom’s meal will launch at Jamie Oliver and Alex James’ The Big Feastival in Oxfordshire at the end of August.
Mini Nom Nom’s managing director Lisa Sohanpal said: “It’s been really hard to keep this big secret from everyone because we have known for some time now that we were going to announce this at Jamie Oliver and Alex James’ The Big Feastival event, so we are delighted to finally tell everyone about it! It’s such a great tie-in to have one of the most well knownchildren’s book characters for our new British themed ready meal. Story telling for children is very important to our brand, as is providing a healthy meal that children can really explore for themselves. The Gruffalo is also a story that Britain is proud of. For these reasons we see Gruffalo as a brilliant fit for our new British themed world meal.”
Magic Light Pictures brand director Daryl Shute added: “We always look for interesting and exciting partners to work with and Mini Nom Nom’s is certainly both of these. What they have created with their new range of children’s convenience meals is very unique and it was evident from the beginning that we shared the same brand ethos of delivering quality products.”
