UK coffee company Minor Figures has launched a new ‘barista-quality’ vegan oat milk with an organic ingredients list to cafés and shops nationwide.
Suitable for vegans and those with nut allergies, the oat milk aims to meet increased consumer demand for both plant-based and organic alternatives.
The East London-based company has spent years developing the recipe to offer its oat milk in organic form.
Containing only 100% certified organic ingredients, the new alternative milk is Soil Association accredited.
Devised to enhance its coffee, Minor Figures claims it’s the first alternative milk which offers the same stability for froths and foams that baristas are looking for. Rather than split in the espresso, it reportedly remains creamy and adds natural sweetness, density and balance.
According to the start-up, it also goes well in a cup of tea, smoothie or morning cereal.
Co-founder of Minor Figures, Stuart Forsyth, said: “Our eco-friendly Organic Oat Milk has been designed specifically to be the perfect complement to your coffee. Given our background in specialty coffee wanted to design and develop a product that would allow baristas to easily enhance their customers coffee drinking experience.”
The beverage expands Minor Figures’ range which currently includes a new nitro canned chai latte, nitro canned cold brew in black, mocha, latte variants, and ground coffee.
Minor Figures’ Organic Oat Milk is available to purchase in shops including Ocado, Holland & Barret, Abel & Cole, Whole Foods Market, and cafés nationwide for an RRP of £2 per 1l carton.
