Juice brand Moju has launched a new three-flavour range of nourishing, cold-pressed juice drinks with the aim of bringing juice bar-quality drinks to the retail and foodservice sectors.
The drinks rely more heavily on nutrient-rich vegetables than sugar-laden fruit, the brand said, and will seek to appeal to “a new generation of healthier, happier” consumers. Packaged in 250ml bottles with a recommended retail price of £2.95 each, the juices steer clear of corner-cutting purées, pulps or additives.
They are available in three different variants: the green juice, a vitamin and potassium-rich combination of leafy lush greens with a twist of lemon and hint of ginger; the purple juice, containing nutrient-rich and sweet root vegetables including beetroot and carrot, balanced with crisp apple and refreshing cucumber; and finally the orange juice (named after its colour rather than any particular ingredient) with a boost of vitamins A and C derived from its content of carrots, red pepper, ginger, turmeric and a twist of lemon.
Moju’s green, purple and orange juices are 100% natural, unadulterated and free from any additives or GMOs, with at least four portions of fruit and vegetables pressed into each bottle. High pressure processed to retain as much as the flavour and goodness of the juice, it contains up to five times more nutrients than juices made using other methods.
Moju co-founder Rich Goldsmith said: “Cold-pressed juice has to date been a niche product for the health conscious. We simply started making it for ourselves to stay healthy whilst working too many long hours in our corporate jobs. When we looked at the typical juice offering on the market everything was high in sugar and pasteurised. So we decided it’s not just the super health-conscious who deserve the benefits of cold-pressed. We started Moju to introduce a much wider audience to a tastier and genuinely healthier way of living.”
