Oat brand Moma has extended its breakfast range with the launch of a new apple and cinnamon flavour of porridge pot.
Rolling out from January, the new variety is gluten- and dairy-free and Vegan Society-approved. The second product in Moma’s range of instant porridge pots, it is packed full of naturally sweet apple pieces and flaked almonds, and topped off with the subtle warmth of cinnamon.
It also comes with almond milk powder and is made with a ‘unique’ blend of jumbo and fine oats, all of which is free from refined sugar, providing consumers with slow release energy as well as the key vitamins and minerals required for a healthy breakfast.
Moma Foods founder Tom Mercer said: “Here at Moma, we understand the importance of providing consumers with convenient, healthy and satisfying free-from breakfast options. With one in four households now buying plant-based food products, we are seeing an increasing demand for dairy-free and gluten-free options. As consumers look to cut down on their intake of dairy and gluten for allergy and health reasons, the new apple and cinnamon porridge pot is designed to meet this growing trend.”
The warm red packaging, the brand said, provides optimum standout on shelf with a pop of green to highlight the apple flavour.
It is available to order in a 60g pot format with a retail price of £1.30. The complete Moma Porridge breakfast range is also available in sachets for £0.75 and boxes of five sachets for £2.99. There are seven flavours, including golden syrup, super seeds, cranberry and raising, and of course plain.
