M&S wanted to revamp a range of ready meals previously packed in a black tray within an outer cardboard skillet. Since the products were made with fresh ingredients with a high visual, colourful impact, the retailer wanted packaging that provided exceptional transparency, and PP fitted the bill perfectly.
“We’re extremely proud of our food offer and therefore clarity of packaging was important,” said Mark Caul, senior packaging technologist at M&S. “We always consider the environment when selecting packaging, and the lightweight solution offered by Harrison Europac’s trays was an attractive option.”
