We began by visiting Mitsubishi Rayon Cleansui’s stand, where Verbatim brand manager Simon Keighley discussed the benefits of Cleansui’s latest water filter. The Japanese company’s new product is said to remove 99.9% of bacteria and features an eco-refill filter bag, which results in less plastic and less waste.
First introduced in 2011, Cleansui’s new filter has been updated and redesigned to include a limescale reduction system, which works to improve the lifetime of domestic appliances.
After pouring a mug full of ridiculously sweet tea down my throat, we moved on to Zerica’s stand and ogled the Sicilian company’s new compact point-of-use water cooler. Offering impressively small dimensions and 70% energy consumption reduction when compared to conventional designs, Zerica’s new cooler system drew significant crowds throughout our time at the stand. It seems as though Aquatech’s organisers were suitably impressed with Zerica’s new Futura system too, crowning the Italian firm’s creation with an Aquatech Amsterdam 2013 Innovation Award.
Asset’s Serena Accusani and Andrea Simoncelli were also on hand at the 2013 Amsterdam show to talk about Brita’s recent involvement with the Italian water dispenser brand, and Blupura’s Luca Costantini guided us through his organisation’s recent innovations.
With over 21,000 exhibitors at this year’s show and only one more day left to explore, I feel it’s probably best I get back out there and see what else Aquatech Amsterdam 2013 has to offer. Stay tuned for more updates!
