US brand My/Mo Mochi has announced the launch of a line of ice cream with mochi bits as it aims to provide customers with a new opportunity to snack on ice cream.
Available in pint-sized tubs, the gluten-free ice cream will go on sale in the US next year. Five flavours will be available: strawberry, mango, green tea, chocolate, and salted caramel.
Each tub contains My/Mo Mochi ice cream with soft pieces of mochi dough nestled between the ice cream.
Since launching in January 2017, My/Mo Mochi has expanded to over 6,000 retail locations in the US. In September it increased the distribution of its poppable mochi ice cream snacks.
My/Mo Mochi chief marketing officer Russell Barnett said: “After the overwhelmingly positive response to My/Mo Mochi ice cream, we are excited to expand our offerings with the launch of My/Mo ice cream with mochi bits.
“As our brand’s vision is to bring the snackability of mochi ice cream to the masses, this was a natural progression and delivers another way for consumers to chew their ice cream.”
