Natural Balance Foods is expanding its Nakd bar range with the introduction of a new almond macaroon flavour.
The new offering is made from fruits and nuts and is said to taste “just like a delicious almond and vanilla macaroon”.
“It’s important for Nakd and the category to ensure strong flavour variety across each flavour profile of chocolatey, treaty, fruity and nutty to drive incremental sales,” said Louise Cullinane, senior brand manager of Nakd at Natural Balance Foods.
“Our new almond macaroon will support the growth of nutty flavours just like our previous launches of blueberry muffin and salted caramel have done for the other flavour profiles.”
Available as an individual 35g bar or in a four-pack, the new offering will launch in Waitrose this February.
The 35g single bar will also be available from UK retailers and wholesalers, including Holland and Barrett, Suma and The Health Store.
Last year, Lotus Bakeries agreed to acquire the majority of the remaining stake in Natural Balance Foods, taking its ownership to 97.9%.
