In constant currencies, group invoicing increased 2.1%. Strong, sustained demand for natural products enabled the group to successfully offset a high basis for comparison (proforma growth of +12.6% in constant currencies at the end of September 2008) and a persistently sluggish macroeconomic climate.
Over the nine months, the group’s Nutrition & Health business accounted for 64.1% of revenues, Food & Beverage for 29.8% and Personal Care for 1.4%. Broken down by geographical region, North America accounted for 61.1% of revenues, the European Union for 30.1% and Asia/Pacific for 3.0%.
Based on figures to date, for 2009 as a whole and like-for-like, Naturex anticipates a slight increase in its annual revenues in constant currencies and a substantial improvement in its operating margin.
Moreover, on 30 September, it signed the final agreement governing the integration of the Ingredients division of Natraceutical Group. Today, Naturex is actively working towards finalising the acquisition, which will be submitted for the approval of its Extraordinary General Meeting to be held at the end of December.
