Available in four sugar-free, zero-calorie flavours – lemon, lime, pink grapefruit and original – as well as four 100% recyclable sizes: 250ml aluminium cans, 330ml glass bottles, 500ml and 1-litre PET bottles. The 750ml glass bottle will be discontinued over the next few months.
“The new 1-litre PET bottle is an elegant fusion of design, function and environmental sustainability,” said Jennifer Semley-Robert, marketing manager, international brands, Nestlé Waters Canada. “Incorporating the classic Perrier branding, look and feel known around the world, the new packaging will be a sleek addition to any setting, whether dining or entertaining.”
To ensure the integrity of all Perrier sparkling waters, the packaging technology behind the innovative PET is the result of decades of research by Nestlé Waters. The unique PET plastic retains the ultimate quality of freshness and preserves the naturally carbonated bubbles. This packaging was developed specifically for Perrier and is made possible by the bottle consisting of two layers of PET plastic, sandwiching a layer of nylon called MXD-6. This structure considerably limits carbonation loss.
“The new plastic PET bottle guarantees the true taste of Perrier, combined with accessibility for everyone, and transportability anywhere,” said Ms Semley Robert. “Perrier delivers on Canadians’ growing desire for a flavourful, yet natural, no-calorie alternative to artificial-flavoured and high-calorie beverages. Perrier offers a tasty, thirst-quenching healthy choice that will keep consumers properly hydrated in the most convenient, satisfying and pleasurable way possible.”
