Nestlé has launched new Shreddies Max, a granola that combines the malty taste of Shreddies pieces with crunchy oats.
Shreddies Max is a good source of protein, made with whole grain wheat and oats for the perfect breakfast cereal accompanied by milk. As well as being high in protein and whole grains, the new cereal offering is high in fibre, low in saturated fat and made with no artificial colours or flavours.
Available in two varieties – oat granola, and cranberry and oat granola – it will be made available in the UK with a recommended retail price of £2.49 for a 400g box.
And, according to nutritionist Juliette Kellow, the importance of incorporating protein into the diet can not be underestimated.
Kellow said: “Protein is an essential nutrient that the body needs for the growth and maintenance of muscle mass. Opting for a cereal that contains protein and pairing it with milk or yogurt, which is also protein-rich, is a simple way to add more of this nutrient to your diet.”
