Nestlé is set to introduce its Les Recettes De L’Atelier premium chocolate brand to the UK market, following the success of the brand across Europe.
Les Recettes De L’Atelier means ‘recipes of the artisan’s shop’, and the products produced by the brand are made from Swiss chocolate and natural fruit and nut pieces.
Nestlé claims the products have a “handmade and artisanal feel”, and the chocolate is made from 100% sustainable cocoa and is free from artificial preservatives, colours and flavourings.
Les Recettes De L’Atelier premium chocolate is currently sold in 15 countries across Europe, and the brand’s product range will be exclusively available at Sainsbury’s in the UK.
Seven different flavours will be available, including: raisins, almonds & hazelnuts; orange zest & cacao nibs; whole roasted almonds & hazelnuts; salted caramel; roasted almonds; blueberries, almonds & hazelnuts; and cranberries, almonds & hazelnuts.
Alex Gonnella, marketing director for Nestlé’s UK confectionery business said: “Premium chocolate is one of the fastest growing areas in confectionery and, until now, has been a gap in what we offer here in the UK.
“What has already been achieved with Les Recettes De L’Atelier is very impressive. It’s a brilliant, luxury product and the reception we’ve seen from our colleagues here at Nestlé alone tells me that it will be very well received.
“People, quite rightly, expect us to develop new, innovative and exciting confectionery, we’ve been doing it for more than a century, and Les Recettes De L’Atelier is a key part of our plans to keep our portfolio fresh and give confectionery fans exactly what they are looking for.”
