Nestlé is gearing up for this summer’s World Cup with the release of three new limited-edition Smarties products, which will be released in Germany.
The signature chocolate chips included in the new range will be coloured red, yellow and black – the colour of the German national flag – in order to appeal to consumers in the country who want to offer their support to the German national team.
A multi-pack which contains four 38g tubes will be available, as well as a ‘giant’ 130g tube of the snacks, both of which feature limited-edition football-inspired packaging.

A multi-pack of four hollow chocolate figures will also be available, which are designed to look like footballers, are made with milk chocolate and are filled with the Germany-inspired Smarties.
Both the multi-packs also come with games to entertain younger consumers, as the hollow chocolate figures feature an integrated 11-centimetre ‘shooting game’ in the packaging, while the multi-pack features several football-related quiz questions.
Products in the Smarties World Cup range will be available nationwide from retailers in Germany, and both multi-packs will have a suggested retail price of €1.99, while the ‘giant’ tubes will have a suggested retail price of €1.69.
