Nestlé Waters UK has created a range of ’emoji’ inspired water bottles for its Nestlé Pure Life portfolio in an attempt to make children drink more water.
The bottles will be the first in a line of limited edition bottles which will be released throughout the year to appeal to family shoppers.
Four designs will be included on the 33cl bottles, all of which provide a ‘water buddy’ to children, according to the company.
Statistics provided by Nestlé Waters claim that 65% of children aged five to 16 are in the UK are not drinking enough water, and the company hopes these bottles will help address this issue.
Silika Shellie, head of category and shopper development at Nestlé Waters, says: “The perfect ‘water buddy’, we hope that our fun and creative Nestlé Pure Life range will encourage children aged 6+ to drink more water.
“With four different emoticons to choose from, children can select their favourite hydrating ‘water buddy’.
“Bottled water is the fastest growing segment within the £7.3 billion soft drinks category three and we’re confident that our new fun range of bottled water will help retailers to drive sales in-store and appeal to new shoppers.”
