Nestlé’s Coffee-Mate brand has added to its Natural Bliss range with the launch of a ready-to-drink cold brew coffee, available in a sweet cream and a mocha flavour.
Introduced to the US ahead of summer, the beverage is created by steeping 100% Arabica beans in cool water for 12 hours to create a smooth, not bitter, taste.
The drink is made from milk, cold brew coffee, cane sugar, double cream, natural flavourings and baking soda (to prevent settling). The mocha variant also has sea salt and cocoa.
Avantika Chakravorty, Nestlé manager of marketing for ready-to-drink coffee, said: “Cold brew consumption has risen 80% in the last year and we saw a great opportunity to expand our product portfolio into the ready-to-drink space to further meet consumer demands and lifestyles.
“We first introduced our cold brew coffee to the West Coast last year to great success and are looking forward to sharing it with consumers nationwide. Increased consumer demand partnered with our all-natural ingredient list gives consumers the premium coffeehouse experience they can enjoy anywhere.”
Both Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss cold brew coffees are available in the US in 46 fl oz (1.35 litre) multiple serving bottles.
The launch follows on from a series of recently unveiled cold brew coffees, including offerings from Stok, Ferris Coffee & Nut Co and 7-Eleven.
