Nestlé’s SMA Nutrition brand has entered the organic market for the first time by introducing an organic range of milks for infants.
The new range will include organic First Infant, Follow-on and Growing Up Milk products, which are made from organic milk sourced from certified organic farms.
SMA Organic First Infant Milk is produced for babies and is a breastmilk substitute tailored to support babies’ unique nutritional needs
Meanwhile, the SMA Organic Follow-on Milk is tailored for babies from six months old and is enriched with iron, as after six months iron is needed to support cognitive development.
Finally, the SMA Organic Growing Up Milk will support the growth of children from 12 months to four years old, and the growing up milk contains vitamin D and calcium to support bone development, as well as Omega 3 & 6 and iodine to help support normal growth.
A statement from SMA Nutrition said: “Our expert team at SMA Nutrition is dedicated to understanding the complex structure of breast milk and to applying the learnings from nature to our own products.
“At SMA Nutrition, we’ve dedicated 100 years of research into baby nutrition. This knowledge has helped us to create products that give bottle-fed babies the optimum nutrition they need for healthy growth.”
All three organic products have a suggested retail price of £13.99 and are available from Tesco, Boots and Ocado stores now, while they will be launching in all major UK retailers throughout June and July.
