A UK-based drinks business has signed an agreement to become an exclusive brand partner in the distribution of the world’s “most naturally pure vodka”.
Iceberg Vodka is made using water harvested from 12,000-year-old icebergs that have naturally detached from Canadian arctic glaciers, leading to lower mineral content levels and a vodka that is free from man-made contaminants. The Canada-based producer is the only company with an active commercial license from Newfoundland and Labrador’s provincial government to harvest icebergs in the North Atlantic ocean.
London-based Iceberg Vodka Club has now become the brand’s exclusive partner in the distribution of the premium Supreme White edition in the UK market. The company will also distribute a new bottled water with a lower mineral content than any of its existing competitors – just nine total dissolved solids – that it claimed is particularly suited to pairing with fine spirits such as single malt whisky.
Iceberg Vodka Club director Joseph Blundell said: “Champagne and wine lovers have always taken a keen interest in the origins of their favourite drinks and now vodka drinkers can do the same. We’re proud to be bringing this ultra-pure vodka to the UK market and we’re confident that its great taste and purity will make it a firm favourite in the spirits category.”
Iceberg Vodka is blended using fresh Ontario sweetcorn, which adds a natural sweetness to the purity of the glacier water to provide a “soft, light sweet taste”, the company said. The new Supreme White edition boasts “optimum quality derived from its four-times distillation and seven-times filtration processes”, and is packaged in striking 700ml and 3l gloss white bottles. There is also the opportunity for retailers to stock up on limited edition Swarovski-encrusted bottles, as the firm prepares for a year of rapid growth and high-profile endorsements.
