UK cheese manufacturer Norseland has expanded its Ilchester range with the launch of a new cheese for Bonfire Night.
The Ilchester Bonfire Night Cheddar features the ‘warming’ addition of habanero chilli pepper complemented by pieces of mango.
The cheese can be crumbled over jacket potatoes and pasta dishes or enjoyed as part of any winter-warmer meal.
The new cheddar will be available from Morrisons stores across the UK from 19 October 2020. Found on the cheese deli counter, the new Ilchester offering comes in portions cut from a half wheel and has an RRP of £10 per kilo.
In addition, the Ilchester Black Cat Cheddar, a Halloween-themed offering originally launched in 2019, is making a comeback this October.
Lisa Harrison, senior brand manager for the two cheeses, said: “We love to innovate with our cheese brands and autumnal events such as Bonfire Night and Halloween give us the perfect opportunity to create cheeses that complement the season and give people the nourishing, comforting, warming food that we all crave at this time of the year.
“With 2020 being a challenging year for everyone, and particularly, with Halloween and Bonfire Night set to be very different to previous years, we really want to give cheese lovers something to look forward to as we head into autumn.”
Earlier this year, Norseland expanded its line-up of vegan cheeses with a dairy-free version for its Mexicana brand.
