Organic food and nutrition brand Nutiva has launched a line of Organic Avocado Oils, as the California-based company looks to expand its portfolio.
The new range is available in three variants: Organic 100% Pure Avocado Oil, Organic MCT Oil Blend Avocado Oil, and Organic Extra Virgin Avocado Oil.
The ‘versatile’ oils are vegan, keto-friendly and can be used with meats, fish, vegetables, or in dressings and sauces. They reportedly have a ‘higher smoke point’, making them suitable for medium to high heat cooking.
According to Nutiva, its new oils are USDA certified organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and made without chemicals.
The company also claims that the packaging – a portable ‘mess-free’ pouch – has a lower carbon footprint than glass and plastic jars.
Commenting on the launch, Nutiva’s CEO Steven Naccarato said: “Many consumers know and love us for our high-quality organic coconut oils, so we’re thrilled to expand our line of culinary cooking products with three avocado oil varieties.
“From cooking on high heat to roasting, barbecuing, finishing and broiling, our innovative new avocado oils are the perfect swap for liquid oils in everyday cooking.
“They also align with our commitment to regenerative, organic farming like all of the products in our portfolio.”
Nutiva’s Organic Avocado Oils are available via the company’s website for an RRP of $12.99-$14.99 per 12oz pouch, with additional retailers to follow.
Nutiva’s non-GMO organic line-up also includes coconut, hemp and chia ‘superfoods’. In 2018, the company claimed to have introduced the first USDA certified organic hempseed product to the US market, which contained hemp grown entirely in the US.
