A unique bottle from O-I’s Covet Classics collection is helping Copper Fiddle Distillery of Lake Zurich, Illiniois. generate buzz for their whiskey and gins.
The distiller is blazing trails as the first in North America to feature the eye-catching Imperial bottle design, a ‘perfect fit’ for its Bourbon Whiskey, Tom Gin and Fiddle Gin.
“The uniqueness, simplicity and four-sided appeal of the Imperial bottle make it perfect for showcasing the beauty and quality of our spirits line, which is available at our tasting room in Lake Zurich,” said Fred Robinson, proprietor, Copper Fiddle Distillery. “Working with O-I helped us find the right presence for our brand without sacrificing our ability to get to market according to plan.” Copper Fiddle spirits are also available in bars and restaurants throughout the Chicago area.
The package is accentuated by custom labelling and a unique black cork, which add a modern attitude to the classic decanter style bottle. The striking finished product has garnered attention from more than just the guests who visit the facility for tours.
“Our bottle caught the eye of producers in Hollywood, who saw it in media coverage and called to talk to us about product placement opportunities,” said Jose Hernandez, proprietor, Copper Fiddle Distillery. “Receiving this much attention is an incredible advantage for us.”
“Consumer interest in craft spirits is higher than ever, and start-up distilleries are looking for scalable packaging solutions to help them break into this highly competitive market,” said Danielle Catley, O-I North America’s category manager for spirits. “Our Covet Classics offerings allow customers to start out small and grow over time while still presenting a premium image featuring the high-quality glass packaging that consumers expect in this segment.”
