Juice water brand Oasis has introduced new limited-edition packaging in the UK, which it said was ‘the world’s first ever face-swappable bottle’.
The new bottle of Oasis summer fruits features a face made out of strawberries and cherries, and in a fun and novel move will allow consumers to transpose their face with that of the character on the label through any existing face-swap software.
So, even though the software is not specific to Oasis or proprietary, users can take ‘pride of place’ on Oasis labels. And the brand clearly feels that marketers can capitalise on interest in face-swap technology by providing shoppers with a new way to interact with the brand.
Brand owner Coca-Cola Great Britain said that the packaging was ‘optimised’ for the face-swap social phenomenon.
The activity forms part of the brand’s popular #RefreshingStuff campaign, which will take in a mix of social and influencer/blogger activity, with the potential to roll out across wider packaging in the coming year.
Limited-edition packs will be available to win on Oasis’ Facebook page from today.
