Ingredients company Ohly has announced the launch of a new maple syrup speciality powder, which delivers authentic maple syrup flavour and sweetness in a free-flowing powder form.
The latest addition to Ohly’s ProDry range is made with 100% Canadian maple syrup and produced from all identity-preserved ingredients. The unique ProDry process retains the volatile flavour components and protects the distinctive, well-rounded flavour profile of maple syrup, Ohly said.
A pure, natural sweetener option for clean-label products, the unique ingredient has a “smooth and silky texture” with a distinctively sweet flavour and rare amber colour. It is three times as sweet as sugar, allowing manufacturers to achieve the same level of sweetness without adding refined sugar.

Canadian maple syrup is distinctive and popular, it’s a flavour that really delights consumers and is a powerful addition to seasonings in order to improve them with sweetness and depth.”
The new powder form is a valuable asset for the manufacturers already using syrup, as the free-flowing ProDry powder does not clog, clump or stick, avoiding the inherent waste and sanitation problems found with liquid syrup.
