Old El Paso has updated its packaging design in the UK to deliver easier product differentiation for shoppers.
The General Mills-owned company will roll out changes across the brand over the next few months which include colour coding for each flavour and clearer spice level indications. The new format also aims to provide a differentiation between the core range and the newer Stand ‘N’ Stuff tortillas.
Old El Paso’s logo and signature yellow base colour will be amplified as the company has identified it as being key to helping shoppers choose a product.
Lindsay Hill, marketing manager for Old El Paso at General Mills UK, said: “World foods currently sees double the dwelling time of many other sectors and we’re excited to be leading the way with this strategic packaging update to aid shoppability. This should help consumers to quickly identify their favourite products as well as pick up something new to try with family and friends.”
Old El Paso’s product range in the UK features dinner kits, cooking sauces, salsas, dips, seasoning mixes, tortillas and nacho chips.
