Brown-Forman’s bourbon brand Old Forester has teamed up with Bourbon Barrel Foods to launch Cocktail Provisions, a collection of three bitters, two syrups and one tincture, designed to elevate the simplest cocktails into a craft experience.
Created by Louisville-based Bourbon Barrel Foods and Old Forester master taster Jackie Zykan, Cocktail Provisions is inspired by the “unique and robust flavour profiles of Old Forester”.
The brands said they aim to take the guesswork out of creating high-end cocktails with the portfolio which “elevates cocktails to new dimensions of flavour”.
With an Old Forester base, the bitters retail at $11.50 for a 2oz bottle and are available in three flavours: cherry tobacco, baking spice and smoke, and citrus and floral.
The syrups are made with a sugar base and sell for $8.50 for a 2oz bottle in two variants: perfect old fashioned syrup, which has a blend of three Old Forester bitters; and oleo-saccharum syrup, which is created from citrus peels.
Finally, the water-based tincture retails for $7.50 for a 2oz bottle and comes in a salt and pepper variant.
Jackie Zykan said: “We want people to enjoy our bourbon the way they like it – whether it’s neat, on the rocks or in a hand-crafted cocktail.
“Cocktail Provisions is there to help you find your inner bartender and discover new, unique ways to experience Old Forester.”
