The new product contains no alcohol, yet achieves the ‘‘brisk flavour of beer’’ by using 1.3 times more malt.
The drink is scheduled to arrive in stores on 29 September and will compete with Kirin Free from Kirin Brewery (launched in April), and with Asahai Point Zero from Asahi Breweries, which is slated to launch on 1 September.
