The cheese is sourced from pasture-raised cows in northern California’s Humboldt County. The cows eat only fresh grasses and dried forages, such as hay. They do not eat supplemental grains or soybeans.
Organic Valley Grassmilk Cheese is handcrafted and aged in small batches to retain the layers of Grassmilk’s flavour. According to the company, Grassmilk is flowing with ‘naturally occurring calcium, omega-3s and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)’.
Sold in 8oz wedges, it’s available in two varieties, Raw Cheddar and Raw Sharp Cheddar.
Organic Valley has introduced its Grassmilk Cheddar as a limited edition to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
