Baby and toddler snack brand Organix will launch a new mixed-flavour multipack of its Organix Goodies Fruit Gummies in the UK.
The move, it said, is designed to drive penetration and growth as single and multipack formats appeal to different shopper groups.
With a retail sales value of £12 million, fruit snacks account for nearly one-fifth of shopper spend on snacks. The Goodies fruit range has more than a quarter of the market share, according to the brand’s own figures, and is delivering 15% year-on-year growth following increased penetration and distribution for the range in 2016.
Organix customer marketing controller Chris Braitch said: “Our research shows that single and multipack formats appeal to different shoppers, so our new pack closes a current consumer gap and offers shoppers a larger value pack. We know that nearly 60% of parents are buying multiple flavours of fruit snacks on each shop, yet there is not a multipack format available which offers flavour variety; this is a clear gap.
“As the first mixed flavour multipack in fruit snacks, our new mixed pack, along with our single packs, will give shoppers greater variety and choice. They also offer convenience for parents looking for no-junk alternatives to unhealthy snacks for use at home or on the go – from a brand that mums and dads trust.”
Each Fruit Gummies multipack will include five single-portion bags – made up of two blackcurrant stars, two raspberry and apple ‘moos’, and one strawberry gummy.
Made from 100% organic fruit, the uniquely shaped fruit snacks will retail with a recommended price of £2.49.
Organix Goodies Fruit Gummies will start appearing in store from late February, with the rollout continuing through to summer 2017.
