Pamplona Capital Management has agreed to acquire Signature Foods from private equity firm IK Investment Partners.
Signature Foods is a chilled convenience food company with offerings spanning the spreads and dips, bites and tapas, and meal solutions categories.
The company, which is headquartered in Hilversum, the Netherlands, owns a number of consumer brands including Johma and Délio, as well as serving private label customers.
Signature Foods employs over 600 people across seven manufacturing sites in the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland.
The company is said to have a ‘rapidly growing European footprint’ and serves customers across the retail and foodservice channels.
IK Investment Partners first invested in Signature Foods – then called Salad Signature – in January 2016.
Commenting on the end to the partnership, Signature Foods CEO Erik Bras said: “Over the last five years the company has transformed substantially, as we acquired and launched new brands and products, invested substantially in our production capabilities and grew our footprint in Europe.
“We are extremely grateful to everyone at IK for their partnership and support, enabling us to be where we are today.”
The transaction is subject to the approval of the competent antitrust authorities. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
