Launched in Japan some time back as a cola beverage with zero calories, Pepsi Nex is the next generation of cola designed to bring a new experience to mind. The Nex name is meant to evoke feelings of “new excitement”, “new experience” and “new expectations”. Bottle designer Suntory has focused on clean lines using a white-silver label to make the Pepsi logo stand out.
The brand is now collaborating on a promotion with 20th Century Fox and MediCom with their Be@rbrick line in the US. DVDs of movies ranging from Fight Club to Prison Break are available via a label send-in scheme. The 12 Be@rbrick figures are modeled on Fox’s shows or movies and include Jack Bauer, Michael Scoffield and a Prada-wearing Devil. The figures are available attached to Pepsi Nex bottles for a limited period only.
