PepsiCo-owned Naked Juice has launched a new line of smoothies with a citrus twist, designed to be enjoyed at breakfast-time.
Each bottle of Naked Zing uses lime in the recipe to deliver a ‘kick of citrus’ and reportedly bring more excitement to the breakfast table.
Developed in response to the consumer demand for more core smoothie ranges with simpler flavour combinations, the line-up consists of three varieties: Naked Strawberry Zing, Naked Tropical Zing and Naked Mango Zing.
Strawberry Zing is made with a combination of strawberry, banana and lime. Tropical Zing is a blend of kiwi, pineapple, passion fruit and lime, while, Mango Zing is a mix of mango, lime and hints of carrot.
The new range is a source of vitamin C and contains only naturally-occurring sugar from the fruit and vegetables used, with no added preservatives.
Charlotte Ashburner, senior marketing manager at PepsiCo, said: “Research shows that consumers are actively seeking out innovative new smoothie flavours and 50% of juice consumers are looking for new products to enjoy.
“We created the Naked Zing range with these consumers in mind, to offer a bold, invigorating take on the breakfast smoothie. With Naked Zing, drinkers can start their day with an awakening, colourful smoothie packed with delicious fruits and a hit of zesty citrus.”
The launch comes a few months after Naked launched a lower-sugar smoothie line in the UK as a response to demands for reduced-calorie drinks.
Naked Zing is available to purchase in 360ml bottles and 750ml sharing bottles across UK stores, for an RRP of £2.60 and £3.29 respectively.
