Pernod Ricard has infused Irish whiskey with coffee to create a limited-edition Jameson Cold Brew.
The 30% ABV beverage is available in the US and is said to have a distinctive, bold and natural taste with a refreshing coffee flavour.
“By combining the smooth taste of triple-distilled Jameson and the richness of natural cold brew coffee flavour into one bottle, Jameson Cold Brew celebrates a passion for whiskey and coffee,” said Matt Foley, Jameson brand director at Pernod Ricard USA.
“When we started researching our next innovation, we didn’t need to go far, as it had been under our nose all along.”
He added: “The spirits category is constantly evolving, with consumers seeking new tastes and ways to enjoy a drink. Jameson Cold Brew is a delicious option for any occasion from brunch to happy hour.”
Jameson Cold Brew is available in the US with a suggested retail price of $24.99 per 750ml bottle.
Last year, Pernod Ricard-owned Irish Distillers introduced an updated Jameson Irish Whiskey bottle to highlight the brand’s provenance and triple-distillation production.
The design aims to create stand-out appeal and drive differentiation in the Irish whiskey category.
