Mondelēz Brazil has introduced new, rounder packaging for its cream cheese brand Philadelphia in the South American country.
The new format increases “user-friendliness because consumers can spoon out the cheese more easily,” the producer said. “It also reinforces the brand’s visual identity because retailers can now stack the product more efficiently on the shelves.”
Mondelēz opted for double-sided in-mould labels (IML) from labels manufacturer Verstraete IML. The new packaging features an “outstanding print quality” and recipe ideas printed on the inside of the lids, highlighting the brand’s versatility and increasing convenience to the consumer.
Mondelēz Brazil’s Juliano Brites Rodriguez said: “We resolutely choose to work with Verstraete IML because we believe in the company’s innovative policy: in its market approach, processes, products and organisation. Thanks to offset printing we can obtain the excellent print quality we want. And we finish the same packaging with a wide range of materials, inks and varnishes. This allows us to permanently stand out on the supermarket shelves. Additionally, Verstraete IML’s regional office in São Paulo is always ready with advice and support. And we swear by Verstraete IML’s superb customer service, with communication in our own language.
“For this project we worked with Verstraete IML and the Brazilian injection moulder Jaguar Plásticos, a pioneer in the development of efficient production processes with high quality standards – and therefore the ideal partner for this project.”
