Ginmeister-owned British spirits brand Pinkster has launched a raspberry spirit which is made from a by-product of its signature raspberry-infused gin.
Called Pinkster Royale, the beverage contains no added sugars, meaning it isn’t classified as a liqueur, and is primarily designed as a cocktail ingredient, though can be enjoyed neat over ice.
Made from recycled, gin-soaked raspberries, this is the company’s third natural by-product, after the launch of Boozy Berries and Gin Jam.
Pinkster managing director Stephen Marsh said: “There’s a clue in the name. Our latest tipple will pimp up your prosecco with a delicious raspberry hit.
“Initial trade reaction to Pinkster Royale, from our local trials, has been mighty positive, with outlets telling us that people like the whole backstory along with the luscious, fruity flavour.”
“It’s a shame to see anything go to waste, but what with Boozy Berries and Gin Jam, I think we’ve now finally squeezed every last drop from the fresh raspberries that make Pinkster.”
He added: “At a time when pink spirits are all the rage, we’re quick to champion the fact that our botanicals include raspberries, real ones, the ones that grow on bushes.
“As a pink pioneer, our view is that it’s the flavour not the colour that matters. The Pinkster Royale launch just reinforces that we’re an innovative, premium brand dealing in fresh fruit.”
Earlier this year, the brand launched a 3 litre bag-in-box variant of its raspberry-infused gin in a move to become more sustainable.
Pinkster Royale is available in in the UK in 35cl bottles with an ABV of 24% and recommended retail price of £24.
