Nut butter brand Pip & Nut has launched two further flavours: a new cashew butter and a limited-edition crunchy maple peanut butter.
The new variants, which will launch across the UK this month, have been developed in response to increasing consumer demand for nut butters and continued growth in the nut butter category of 14% year on year.
The cashew butter is made using roasted cashews and a pinch of sea salt to create a naturally sweet, nutty flavour, Pip & Nut said. It is the perfect inclusion for a bowl of porridge. Meanwhile, the limited-edition crunchy maple peanut butter is naturally sweetened with a drizzle of Canadian maple syrup and an extra nutty bite, giving this nut butter a perfect blend of sweet and savoury.
The product is the first in a series of limited-edition flavours, on sale for nine months with a new variant rolling out in February.
Pip & Nut founder Pippa Murray said: “We’re really excited to be adding these two new flavours to our product range and always aim to excite our customers with something a little different. Not only that but we know people are always on the look out for healthy products [that] are free from refined sugar, that are naturally high in protein and healthy fats but most importantly still taste great. We’ve had a strong start to the year, with fantastic ongoing support from our retail partners. We are now on track to hit £3.3 million in sales in our first full year of trading, which is a 500% growth from 2015.”
Both of the new flavours will launch into Sainsbury’s from 19 June following strong early sales of the initial flavours. As well as Sainsbury’s, the new products will debut with Ocado, Wholefoods, Selfridges and a raft of independents nationwide as well as Irish supermarket chain Dunnes.
