Callum McKinnon spoke with FoodBev Managing Editor Claire Phoenix at the Drinkpreneur Event on the launch of jam jar packaged KingBloom Cocktails.
Around three years ago Callum used to own a nightclub in Scotland and tried to introduce cocktails but as the staff were so busy with around 700 people asking for drinks in an evening there was inconsistency and wastage and he wondered why there wasn’t a cooler ready to drink option.
With flavours in the range such as Gin, green tea and peach (Tea Party) , Vodka white cranberry and coconut, Vodka kiwi raspberry known as a Ladybird, with all of these containing milk thistle for a happier body.
Aimed at females aged 25-35 it appeals to a wider demographic as it is stocked in hotel mini bars and can be taken to dinner parties too. The alcohol level is around 7% ABV for a 210 ml glass jar.
