Extraordinary items amounting to HRK 24.9m had a negative effect on business results in the first quarter, and they’re mostly related to harmonisation of bond value amounting to HRK 24.3m. The reporting net profit is therefore HRK 7.6m and is increased by 23% compared to the same period last year.
Podravka Group total sales revenues in the first quarter is HRK 781.1m and is 2% reduced compared to the same period in 2009. Sales of SBA Food and Beverages amounted to HRK 626.0m, marking a 1% decrease.
Vegeta, Podravka’s strongest brand, recorded 4% sales growth compared to the same period last year. In Poland, the most significant market for Vegeta, Podravka group realised 23% sales growth.
Podravka Group sales on foreign markets grew 4% where SBA Food and Beverages recorded 4% growth, and SBA Pharmaceuticals grew 5%.
