Hand-popped popcorn brand Portlebay Popcorn has debuted a new cinammon swirl flavour in time for Christmas.
The Devon-based company has claimed that the gourmet snack is the ideal addition during the festive party season, made using warming cinnamon and a hint of apple in small batches to ensure freshness and crunchiness. The sweet popcorn goes well with a glass of mulled cider and is available in both snacking and sharing formats with a retail price of £1.70 per 75g bag.
Portlebay Popcorn managing director Jonty White said: “Each colourful pack of popcorn brings a little sunshine into your life, even when the temperature drops close to zero. The spiced flavour of cinnamon swirl is particularly suited to the festive season and I’ll definitely be taking a bag or two with me when I go for brisk walks along Devon’s beautiful coast path this Christmas with my family.”
Inspired by his passion for sailing on the Salcombe estuary, combined with a love for healthier snacks made with the best ingredients, White founded the premium snack brand in 2013. Characterised by its nautically themed branding, it has seen year-on-year sales growth of 230% and donates 25% of all online sales to the children’s charity Chicks.
