Post Consumer Brands has expanded its breakfast cereal offering in time for summer in the US with a range of new varieties and flavours, including a new ice cream-themed cereal.
This is the second major launch of Post cereals this year following a group of January releases.
The US food manufacturer has collaborated with Cold Stone Creamery to combine cereal and ice cream for its Malt-O-Meal line, available in two flavours: honey and strawberry with marshmallows, and birthday cake-flavoured cereal with chocolate marshmallows.
The Honey Bunches of Oats range has been boosted with a banana and almond flavour, featuring real banana puree infused in the granola and banana-flavoured flakes.
Meanwhile, three new variants have been added to the Honey Bunches of Oats Granola range: toffee almond, maple pecan, and French vanilla almond.
And Post Shredded Wheat has expanded with three new frosted wheat biscuit flavours: original, strawberry, and chocolate and strawberry.
Post Consumer Brands chief marketing officer Roxanne Bernstein said: “We continue to listen closely to our consumers and evolve our brands to deliver some of best-tasting cereals available.
“This summer is jam packed with new and delicious additions. June also marks the start of our sponsorship with Major League Soccer where we will take our cereal on the road to grocery stores and soccer stadiums nationwide.”
