Quest Nutrition has expanded its range of high-protein products by introducing a new protein bar and new protein powder to the US market.
The new Maple Waffle Protein Bar contains 20g of protein, 16g of fibre, 5g of net carbohydrates and 1g of sugar, is made with a protein blend of milk protein isolate and whey protein isolate, and is filled with ‘waffle-like’ pieces.
Meanwhile, the new Cold Brew Coffee Latte Protein Powder also contains whey protein isolate, as well as real cold brew extract, and each serving made from the powder contains 24g of protein, 3g of net carbs and less than 1g of sugar.
Suzanne Ginestro, chief marketing officer at Quest Nutrition said: “We’ve taken two of the most popular breakfast flavours and turned them into convenient options that meet our consumers’ health goals.
“Maple is increasingly trending across food and beverage categories, and cold brew has grown 460% in recent years.
“We’re on a quest to create better versions of craveable foods and beverages, and now people can enjoy these flavours throughout the day, without compromising on nutritional value.”
The new products follow the release of Quest’s range of low-carb, high-protein pizzas earlier this month. The crusts of the nine-inch pizzas are gluten-free and made from whey protein, and each pizza contains up to 28g of protein and up to 6g of carbohydrates per serving.
Earlier this year, Quest also released a range of tortilla-style protein chips, which are made from a blend of milk protein isolate and whey protein isolate and each serving contains 18 or 19g of protein and 4g of carbs.
